So here is my first attempt at blogging. We (Anika and I ) are in the Denver airport on our way for a quick visit with my mom, in Phila., before we have to pack up every little thing and head out for "The BIG Trip". Anika created this whole blog for me while we have been sitting here between flights. As you look around many people are hooked into a variety of digital devises to pass the time. We could move on to set up our web site, lay over time permitting. What a way to pass the airport waiting time! If I hadn't had Anika this would have been much harder. She is of the generation where setting up a blog, web site, doing skype, whatever, is nothing. She knows another language almost instinctively and I can barely put two words together in it.
So I won't bore you with more stories of airport wait time. But I will be back to give trip details as we travel around the world. I might even fill you in on the challenging experience of preparing for the trip, something it feels like we have been doing forever. So please sign on for more!
